How the sequence works.
Each phase serves a specific purpose — skip one, and it changes what the other two can achieve. OPEN prepares the skin's surface so it's truly receptive to what follows. TREAT delivers a concentrated, precisely matched active-ingredient system exactly where it's needed — supporting the skin's own cellular function and structural stability. CLOSE locks in these actives and rebuilds the skin's protective layer, so the effect lasts instead of evaporating within a few hours.
This sequence is also why MBR formulations keep evolving. Through Constant Progress Development (CPD), the active-ingredient system of the TREAT phase is updated as soon as a more effective option becomes available — without waiting years for a full relaunch. You can find out in which order to apply your products in the morning and evening in our guide skincare routine order.

One system. For every line.
Every MBR care line follows the same OPEN – TREAT – CLOSE sequence. What changes is the formulation within each phase — cleansing, active ingredients and finishing textures — each tailored to the skin condition that line addresses.
