Skincare after aesthetic treatments: what your skin needs now

Whether laser, peel, microneedling or injection, aesthetic treatments set targeted stimuli to which the skin responds with regeneration. In the first days, the protective barrier is weakened: the skin loses moisture faster and reacts more sensitively to heat, friction and sun. The right aftercare supports this phase:

  • Cleanse gently without stressing the skin
  • Restore moisture and support regeneration
  • Strengthen the barrier with calming formulas
  • Protect consistently with high SPF

The aftercare instructions of your treating practice always take priority.

Aftercare at a glance

Skincare after laser treatment

After a laser treatment, the skin often feels warm and tight. In the first days, rely on mild cleansing such as the ContinueLine Three in One Cleanser and calming care such as the Protection Shield Soft, or the Protection Shield Rich for very dry skin. Pause peels, fruit acids and enzymes until the skin has fully calmed.

Sun protection after laser treatments is essential, because freshly lasered skin is particularly prone to pigmentation. You will find suitable formulas in our face sunscreen collection.

Skincare after a peel

Chemical peels and fruit acid peels remove the uppermost layer of skin. Afterwards, the skin mainly needs moisture and rest:

Only exfoliate again once the skin is no longer red or flaking, ideally with the gentle ContinueLine Enzyme Specialist.

Skincare after Botox

After a botulinum toxin treatment (Botox®), the skin is hardly irritated, but the treated areas should not be massaged or rubbed in the first hours. Apply your skincare gently and without pressure. Afterwards, the Modukine Serum and Modukine Cream strengthen the skin over the long term.

Your routine after the treatment

Had a microneedling treatment? You will find the matching routine in our collection skincare after microneedling.

Frequently asked questions about aftercare

  • Which cream should I use after a laser treatment?
A gentle, calming cream without fruit acids or exfoliating particles, such as the ContinueLine Protection Shield Soft. During the day, add SPF 50. You will find more gentle formulas in our collection skincare for sensitive skin.
  • What can I apply to my skin after Botox?
Your usual mild skincare, applied gently and without pressure. Avoid massaging the treated areas in the first hours and follow the instructions of your practice.
  • When can I exfoliate again after a treatment?
Once the skin is no longer red, tight or flaking. Start with a gentle enzyme peel such as the ContinueLine Enzyme Specialist.
  • How long do I need sun protection after laser treatments and peels?
Use SPF 50 daily in the weeks following the treatment, even on cloudy days, for example the High Protection Cream SPF 50. Freshly treated skin reacts particularly sensitively to UV radiation.
